Processing Titanium Scrap Solids
Clean, consistently sized titanium solids prepared to specification — including cobbles, feedstock, and bulk weldables.
Sorting
Characterizes scrap by alloy, surface condition, and shape. A metal scan analyzer is used to 100% test when required and verify the alloy.
Sizing – Shearing
Thinner pieces are sized using hydraulic and mechanical shears.
Sizing – Torching
Thicker pieces are torch cut.
Cleaning
Removes all surface contaminants by washing cobbles and shot blasting all other forms of titanium solids.
Final Inspection
Prior to packaging material, all small solids are visually inspected as they pass over an inspection belt. At the inspection belt, a sample of final product is re-tested using a metal scan analyzer to confirm the metal alloy.
Packaging
Goldman offers customized containerization of the final product to meet consumer needs. Shipping can be scheduled monthly, quarterly, or "just-in-time."
